The Anti-Labour Ticket has now been published. The President of the local Nationalists is on it, with other prominent Nationalists. This All-Party, NON-PARTY TICKET is a NATIONALIST TICKET. DON’T BE FOOLED NO MEMBER OF THE LABOUR PARTY IS ON IT. A vote for any candidate on it is a vote against Labour. THE ISSUE IS CLEAR-CUT AND SIMPLE. ON THE ONE HAND, an anti-Labour ticket, humorously calling itself nonParty and “Independent” (S. G. Holland says the same about his M.P. followers.) They ask you to give them a blank cheque to control your Borough Council. Thcfy have not even deigned to tell you what they propose to do if elected. Blank cheques are dangerous. Coates and Forbes were given one at the General Election of 1931. . The results are not forgotten. ON THE OTHER HAND A Labour ticket of your fellowtownsmen, not wriggling round for a disguising label, but frankly inviting you to meet them, and publishing to you their programme. They take you now into their confidence, and they always will when elected. They do not hide their political beliefs. They are proud of them. They offer their services to their town to help it, and you, as the Party they belong to, helped New Zealand and you out of the mismanaged years of depression. . VOTE FOR HONEST REPRESENTATION.
