LUMINOUS CARPETS
PROMISED IN PICTURE "iHEATRES AFTER THE WAR. DECORATIVE AND USEFUL. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, May 22. Luminous carpets in picture theatres after the war are predicted by Mr. E. K. Everett, merchandising director- of the United States Cotton and Textile Institutes. He said the fluorescent dyestuffs being used for parachutes, flares and signals would be adapted for use in carpets. The luminescent element in these dyes, which will remain active fox- the life of the carpet, will glow in the dark and will be both decorative and useful. * ,
