MARTINBOROUGH

BOWLING CLUB MEETING OF COMMITTEE. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the committee of the Martinborough Bowling Club, Mr. R. S. Baker occupied the chair. The treasurer reported that the season had proved highly satisfactory from a financial point of view. The membership, which had fluctuated rather more than usual over the last year, was also satisfactory. The green superintendent, Mr. •S. Boyd, reported that the green .had been spike rolled and top dressed and seed had been sown where required. The croquet green would receive some attention in the spring. Thanks were accorded to Mr. Beveridge for the use of his horse for the spike rolling. It was reported that the club competitions under the control of the match committee had all been brought to a successful conclusion well within the apointed time. Personal Items. Mrs. D. Duncan and Miss J. Wilkie, Masterton. were the guests of Mrs. W. A. Wilkie, Dyerville, for the weekend. Mrs. B. Morgan is spending a few days in Wellington A Heavy Frost. A heavy frost was experienced xii’s morning severely damaging delicate flowers, etc.
