REGENT THEATRE
“SALUTE TO THE MARINES” “Salute to the Marines” will be finally shown tonight. “THE BELLS GO DOWN” “The Bells Go Down” will be shown at the Regent on Monday night with a special matinee in the afternoon. It is a grand tribute to the A.F.S. and their heroism during the London blitz. The story concentrates on the light-hearted personality of a boisterous new hand, whose pranks and misguided confidence cause many laughs. The whole performance is spectacular, thrilling, romantic and full of vivid realism. The play is adapted from the book of the same name and was produced by Michael Balcon and directed by Basil Deardon.
