GREYTOWN
RED CROSS SOCIETY MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. (“Times-Age” Special.) A meeting of the executive of the Red Cross Society was held in the Red Cross Society’s rooms last night. Mr A. Nisbet occupied the chair in the absence of Mr A. W. Horton. It was decided to keep a record of all uniforms and those which had been loaned are to be returned laundered. It was decided that the action of the president and secretary in sending £5 to the Empire Fund for the purchase of vitamin D be endorsed. A letter of thanks is to be sent to Mrs A. Nisbet for £3 8s received from her, being the proceeds of a cake competition. It was decided that the Voluntary Aid lectures should begin on February 15, in the Red Cross Society’s rooms. Intending members are asked to attend.
It was decided to send a parcel of chocolate to Miss Keltie, a Greytown V.A., who is serving overseas. Mesdames H. Carter, W. Knell and S. Shedden were appointed to deal with the sorting of clothes which had recently been collected.
