PAHIATUA SALE KEEN DEMAND FOR SHEEP There was a heavy yarding of sheep at the Pahiatua ewe fair yesterday for which there was a keen demand from a large bench of buyers. Outside buyers bought a big proportion of the sheep. The older sheep sold well. Top 4-year-old ewes brought 22s to 255, good ditto, 20s to 225; top 5-year-olds, 20s to 235; good ditto, 17s 6d to 19s; very best two-tooths, 30s to 345. The main lot of two-tooths, which were good, sold from 23s to 265. Small hold over two tooths realised up to 18s.
