MASTERTON EWE FAIR

SATISFACTORY PRICES FOR EARLY LOTS. The first Masterton ewe fair this season commenced at the Masterton saleyards today, when there was a large attendance of buyers representative of the district and outside centres. About 15,000 ewes were offered, and in the early stages of the sale indications pointed to a good clearance being made at satisfactory prices. Some early sales were:— 2-tooth ewes—A/c. Wm. Rayner, 80 at 28s 6d; a/c. Eparaima Station, 340 at 23s 2d and 21s; a/c. Rawhiti Station, 188 at 26s 9d; a/c. Mrs D. M. Garland, 40 at 25s and 30 at 245; a/c. C. R. Judd, 90 at 18s 6d; a/c. Mamaku Station, 300 at 255; a/c. W. A. King, 80 at 19s; a/c. Mrs E. E. Wilson, 200 at 245.
