RASPBERRY CROP RAIN BADLY NEEDED. (“Times-Age” Special.) Unless rain comes within the next few days the raspberry crop will be very small this year. Usually the picking lasts the whole of January, but if the dry spell lasts there will be little picking this season. Personal Items. Mrs Greenhough and Miss Zoe Greenhough, of Auckland, are the guests of Mrs F. Donnes, East Street. Mrs S. Best, of Wanganui, is staying with Mrs F. Best, Main Street. TOWN HALL “SHIP AHOY.” An excellent comedy-drama, “Ship Ahoy,” will head tonight’s programme at the Town Hall. Eleanor Powell, Bert Lahr, Virginia O’Brien and Tommy Dorsey’s Orchestra are featured in the picture.
