GRASS FIRES
YESTERDAY AND TODAY. The Masterton Fire Brigade was called out yesterday afternoon, at about 4.30 o’clock, to a grass lire at the cemetery, immediately behind Elizabeth Street. The brigade quickly extinguished the fire. Three pine trees were damaged. 'Phe brigade received another call at 11.8 a.m. today to a grass lire on the West School property. The fire was speedily put out.
