STATE THEATRE
“I MARRIED A WITCH.” There will be super entertainment at the State Theatre , tonight, when the latest “comedy riot,” “I Married a Witch,” becomes the screen s most unusual and uproarious picture. It is a gay, hilarious and delightful picture with a “plot” that is lastmoving and full of surprises. Patrons will doubtless vote it the best .of the Thorne (“Topper”) Smith pictures. The chief roles are taken by Frederic March, Veronica Lake, Robert Benchley, and the Australian actor, Cecil Kellaway. It is one of the raciest co-medy-romances ever brought to the screen. In addition, there will be shown “Invasion of North Africa,” a topical short subject, showing in graphic detail the invasion of North Africa by the Allied nations.
