MASTERTON BRANCH MEETING.
At the monthly meeting of the Masterton branch of the Women’s Division of the N.A Farmers’ Union Mrs C. C. Jackson presided. Resolutions of sympathy were I: F sse L Mesdames J. Percy and I. R. Macdonald in their recent bereavements. The president conveyed her sympathy to all those who had from the earthquakes in the Wan a i-apa. A committee consisting of Mesdames Jackson. Groves and McKenzie was set up to make inquiries as to those requiring help m anv wav and to write to branches outside the earthquake area asking if members were willing to offer hospitality if it were requirIt was reported that during the month simper had been provided for those who had attended the Anzac Club, and a hamper had been sent to the A..N.A. Club in WellingtC>Mrs F.. J. WriPht and Mrs J. McLean reported that another, parcel of woollen comforts for the Mercantile Marine was ready to-be packed and sent away. It was decided that the Rest Room be offered free of charge to the Country District* Red Cross Sub-centre for carrying on Red Cross and patriotic work.
