NO APPEAL

BY NEW SOUTH WALES STATE CABINET. AGAINST UNIFORM TAXATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, June 17. The State Cabinet has decided not to contest the validity of the Commonwealth uniform taxation legisla-' tion before the High Court. Speaking at Bendigo, the Minister of Customs, Mr Keane, predicted that the move being made by some of the State Governments to test the validity of the uniform taxation Acts would open the greatest campaign for the abolition of the State Parliaments ever conceived in this country. “Remembering that the State Parliaments represent the same people as we do, and spend the same people’s money, the course which has been taken appears absurd.”
