IN AMERICAN ARMS OUTPUT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON June 17. The Minister of Production, Mr Lyttelton, was obviously impressed with the speed of America’s war production. He disclosed, after conferring with President Roosevelt, that a single American firm will be turning out weapons at the rate of 4,000,000,000 dollars’ worth yearly by the end of 1942. Mr Lyttelton illustrated this unnamed company’s gigantic scope by pointing out that it was equivalent to building the Panama Canal every six weeks.
