WORKING WEEK
HOURS IN UNITED STATES. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) NEW YORK, June 15. The Secretary, of Labour, Miss Perkins. declared that a 48-hour week and a 160-hour plant production programme would become the optimum working average for labour and management for the duration of the war. She said mass production war workers must have a limit to their work in order to produce their best. Forty-eight hours weekly is the limit, with few exceptions.
