MEAT WORKS ACCIDENT EMPLOYEE'S ARM SEVERELY CUT. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr ClifT Bambry, an employee at the Waingawa Freezing Works, yesterday was following his usual work as a board walker when he received an accidental cut from a butcher’s knife. He was taken to Masterton where eleven stitches were inserted in the wound. BOWLING GRADY MEDALS GAME. Weather permitting a game will be played tomorrow between the holders of the Grady Medals (two members of the Masterton Park Club) and Messrs Newbould and Martin, of Carterton. In a game for the Carterton Club's champion pairs Kilmister and Barr (sidefeated Daysh and McCarty (si, 20/16. Personal Items. Mr C. E. White, of Martinborougn, was a visitor to Carterton yesterday. Mr W. Wadham, of Brooklyn Road, Carterton, is at present an inmate of the Masterton Hospital. Mr C. E. Thomas, of Ashhurst, who has been on a visit to Carterton, returned home yesterday. Mrs Alan D. Barr, of Marton, arrived in Carterton yesterday and is staying with her father, Mr Gordon Hughan. Carterton Racing Club. A meeting of the stewards of the Carterton Racing Club will be held on Friday evening in the secretary’s office, at which important business will be discussed. Card Party. There was a large attendance at the Boy Scouts card party held in the Band Room, Carterton, last evening. The prizes were won as follows: — Ladies, Mrs C. Holland 1, Mrs Hodder 2; men, Mr A. Patterson 1, Mr G. Goodin 2. REGENT THEATRE TONIGHT’S PROGRAMME. Universal’s terrific dramatic triumph “Secrets of a Nurse,” starring Edmund Lowe and Helen Mack, and also “20 Mule Team,” with Wallace Beery and Leo Carrillo in the leading roles, will be shown tonight. (Both are recommended by the Censor for adults).
