CRICKET
K. F. M. Uttley, captained Canterbury in a recent match at Christchurch against a team of players who had represented New Zealand. Uttley was one of the opening batsmen and score'd 72 in quick time and by hard hitting, which included a six that landed on top of the ground's new stand. Uttley will be remembered as an old boy of the Wairarapa High School, where he showed early promise as a cricketer.
