The Italians fully expect a heavy Allied attack against Tripolitania, but consider that it will be some time before the British bases are ready. Reporting this, the Rome correspondent of the Stockholm newspaper “Tidningen” says the importance of Malta as a British base is realised —hence the day and night attacks on the island.
