SEEN BY CHIANG KALSHEK BRITAIN AND U.S.A. URGED TO SMASH JAPAN. UNLESS SHE WITHDRAWS FROM CHINA. (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) CHUNGKING, November 17. Chiang Kai-Shek told the People’s Political Council that preparations were complete for the united defence of the Far East. He urged the United States and Britain to smash Japan unless she withdrew from China and abandoned the Axis. “Now is the vital moment," he said.
