EKETAHUNA
BOY SCOUTS ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the annual meeting of the Eketahuna Boy Scout group there was a large attendance of parents and supporters, who were entertained with an interesting display of Cub and Scout work, which demonstrated the splendid service that Cumbaster Smith and Scoutmaster Grey were carrying out in the interests of the boys. Those present stood in silence for a few moments as.a mark of respect to the memory of the late W. F. Taylor, who was a foundation member of the committee and a trustee.
Interesting reports submitted by the Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, treasurer and chairman were adopted. The members of the existing committee were re-elected with the following additions: The Rev. G. E. Williams, Mr F. Preston, Mr and Mrs M. Morris, Mr H. Higginson, Mrs R. Farrow and Mrs W. Olsen.
Appreciation was expressed of the services rendered by Cubmaster H. Smith, Assistant Cubmaster R. Ryeth and Scoutmaster Grey. Votes of thanks were passed to Mrs W. Currie, Miss B. Currie, Mrs Dillon (Masterton) and the committee. Supper was provided.
