FREE KINDERGARTEN
SUCCESSFUL SHOP DAY COMMITTEE’S SPLENDID EFFORT. COMPETITION WINNERS. The shop day held in Masterton yesterday by the Free Kindergarten committee proved very successful. A large and varied stock of goods, toys, cakes, etc., were disposed of. Members of the committee worked tirelessly thijiughout the day and it is expected that £5O will be cleared as a result of their efforts.
Competitions were won as follow:— Baby’s set, Mrs Cherry, Victoria Street, Masterton; stockings, Mrs J. Gallagher, River Road, Masterton; replica of Mr Churchill, ticket No. E3lB (taken out for the kindergarten). The prizes may be collected at the shop of the Arts and Crafts.
The committee desires to thank the people of Masterton for their support, and those who so generously gave donations of cash and goods.
