TRENTHAM BAND

CONDUCTOR’S SPLENDID RECORD. Captain C. Pike, conductor of the Trentham Military Band, which will visit Masterton on November 22 and 23 in connection with the Interhouse. Day, has a record to be proud of. Captain Pike has been musical director of the Palmerston North Municipal and Garrison Bands, the Toowoomba City Band, Queensland, the 25th Battalion A.I.F. Band, the Burwood Municipal Band, Sydney, and the 56th Battalion A.I.F. Band. 'besides winning seven first prize band competitions in Australia and seven first A and B grade championships in New Zealand. The Trentham Band has responded admirably to his training and the public of Masterton can look forward to a feast of musical entertainment when the band visits here next week.
