HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

SPRING SHOW ON WEDNESDAY. I Considerable interest is being shown in the many new classes which have been introduced in connection with the spring show of the local Horticultural Society. The most attractive new feature will probably be the competition between the various women’s institutes and garden circles in the Wairarapa. This will take the form of displays of flowers, arid judging by the entries which have already come forward, there is no doubt that novel and colourful exhibits will provide competition of the highest standard. Exhibits in the rose classes have in the past maintained a high standard, and this’ year should prove no exception, because many of the leading exhibitors claim that their roses promise to be better than ever. Entries will close with the secretary, Mi’ E. K. Eastwood, Perry Street. Masterton. at noon on Tuesday, November 18, except in the case of the sketching section, entries for which will close on Monday, November 17.
