LAWN EDGES

KEEP THEM TIDY.

Nothing looks more untidy or detracts so much from the appearance of the lawn, as worn and broken edges. Fortunately, this state of affairs may easily be remedied by lifting the turf and reversing the edge. Cut round the worn patches going well back into the turf. Then slice under the turf with a sharp spade, lift and replace the turf in the reverse position with the straight edge level with the edge of the lawn or border. The bare portion can be renovated by levelling it up with some fresh soil and sowing it with grass seed.
