BOXING
AUCKLAND SEASON OPENED. A WIN FOR GILDO. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. April 29. The Auckland Boxing Association's season opened with a series of contests. The main bout was between the professsional lightweights. Corporal Jack Jarvis (Trentham Military Camp), and Young Gildo (Phillipine Islands). Gildo won on points at the end of 12 three-minute rounds.
