QUEEN CARNIVAL
IN AID OF SWIMMING BATHS
("Times-Age” Special.) Martinborough residents have been actively engaged in collecting funds in order that the town may fall into line with other Wairarapa centres and suitably mark the celebration of the 100 years occupation of New Zealand by the British. Martinborough’s effort is to take the form of a centennial swim ming baths for which purpose a queen carnival is being held closing on Friday night at !1 o clock. A "Paddy s Market’’ will be held in the Town Hall on Friday from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m. In the evening dancing and competitions will be on the programme.
