CLEARING SALE AT NIREAHA. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co Ltd report yesterday we held at Nireaha, near Eketahuna, a clearing sale of dairy stock and sundries on behalf of the Edwards Estate. We have to report a very satisfactory disposal of all live and dead stock. The dairy herd, with the exception of one or two cows, came forward in good order and condition, and was submitted to a fair attendance of the local public. Calving dates were available for all cows but no individual records. Competition was bright from the commencement and sound cows calving July .''August made the very satisfactory average of £lO 19s. Late calving cows made £6s to £8 10s. Cows recently calved £9 10s; springing heifers £9 10s; empty yearling heifers £2 18s, £3 to £3 10s; top price realised for the cows was £l3 ss. A small quantity of sundries realised late rates; three-cow milking machine, with motor, £3l; Planet, Junr, 21s; milk cans £1 to 7s.
