MAURICEVILLE
PERSONAL ITEMS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr and Mrs R. G. Watkins, of Auckland, were visitors to Mauriceville over the weekend. Mr H. M. Simmonds, of the Mauriceville Railway staff, has left on transfer to Napier. Mr and Mrs K. S. Clement are holiday making in Hawke’s Bay.
FAREWELL GATHERING PRESENTATION TO MISS KENNY. On Friday afternoon the members of the factory and office staffs of the Mauriceville Dairy Co met at afternoon tea for the purpose of farewelling Miss May Kenny who‘is leaving to take up another position. In presenting Miss Kenny with a crystal salad bowl, Mr Scherf expressed appreciation of the many favours Miss Kenny had done for him and his staff and wished her every success in the future.
Mr Nikolaisen then presented a crystal vase to Miss Kenny on behalf of the office staff, and remarked on her conscienousness and thanked her for her co-operation in the work since taking over the office duties. He wished her well in the future. Miss Kenny suitably replied.
After having been seven years in the employ of the company, Miss Kenny has severed her connection to take a position in town.
