REVIEW IN GREAT BRITAIN STATEMENT BY MINISTER. SCHEMES OF FARMERS’ UNIONS TO BE DISCUSSED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day,-10.25 a.m.) RUGBY, December 23. . The Minister of Agriculture (Mr W. S. Morrison) announced in the House of Commons that the Government is reviewing the state of agriculture. Mr Morrison assured the House that the government fully recognised the deep concern felt about some aspects of the industry’s position. The review was to be continued throughout the Christmas recess, and at an appropriate stage there would be discussions with the Farmers’ Unions of England and Scotland on schemes prepared by those bodies.
