NAZI LIES
SLANDERS ON BRITISH TROOPS IN PALESTINE EMPHATIC DENIAL BY WAR OFFICE. STORIES IN GERMAN PRESS UNTRUE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) RUGBY, December 23. The War Office today denied emphatically slanderous allegations against the conduct of British troops in Palestine which have appeared in the German Press. The latest statements in this campaign, which allege atrocities such as the gouging out of the eyes of prisoners and burning prisoners alive in a shed, are untrue.
