DANGEROUS PRACTICE ON CHRISTMAS EVE. POLICE TO TAKE ACTION. “I hope the dangerous practice of throwing crackers on Christmas Eve will not be repeated tonight,” said the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, this morning. Mr Jordan said the throwing of crackers in crowded streets was a senseless thing, which was attended by the possibility of damage to clothing and injury to the person.
