PERSONAL ITEMS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The death occurred at Palmerston North of Mr Daniel O’Connor,, a former resident of Greytown. The late Mr O’Connor, who was 80 years of age, was a son of the late Mr Hugh O'Connor, one of the. earliest settlers of Greytown. The late Mr Ferg. O’Connor, of Masterton, formerly of the staff of the “Wairarapa Age” and Masterton Printing Company, was a brother, while Mrs A. G. Rhodes, and Miss Gallagher, of Greytown, are nieces. The death has occurred at Christchurch at the age of 92 years of the father of Mr F. G. Hood, of Greytown. Mr W. Perry, of McMaster Station, has left on a holiday to Palmerston North. Miss D. Rees is paying a visit to Feilding; Mrs R. P. Ward is on a visit to Greytown and is staying with her daughter, Mrs Eades, McMaster Street. Mr J. C. Tregrutha, of the Post Office staff, accompanied by his wife and family left this morning for Raetihi on holiday. The Rev R. N. McDiarmid, M.8.E., 8.A., Superintendent-Designate of Missions for the Presbyterian Church, has been visiting Greytown. Mr McDiarmid, who conducted a special service for the Greytown charge and outstations, has been for many years a missionary in the Sudan, working under the Sudan United Mission. Both he and Mrs McDiarmid are graduates of Otago University. Nurse Kershaw, Dental Nurse, has completed her visit to the Greytown School and returned to Carterton today. For May the operations total 246. Mrs Boocock, sewing supervisor, and Miss McKenzie, inspector of cooking instruction, paid a visit to the Greytown District High School yesterday. LADIES’ GOLF DRAW.
