PERSONAL ITEMS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs D. C. Cooke, of Palmerston North, is at present on a visit to her mother, Mrs C. F. Duff. Mr H. Walden has left on a visit to Wellington. Mr Owen Greathead, who has been on the staff of W. H. Day, Ltd., for several years, will leave in a few days to take up an appointment at Feilding. Miss L. Hill, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs N. McLeod, Hastwell Street. Miss M. O’Connor, of Wellington, is on a visit to Greytown, and is staying with Miss B. Kiernan, of East Street. Mr and Mrs W. G. K. Wiggins and Miss Isobel Wiggins have returned to Greytown after an extended tour of the South Island by car. Mr H. E. Webster and family have left on a motor tour of the North Island. WAR GRAVES FUND.
The Greytown branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association fund for war grave headstones now amounts to £ll 7s and further donations have been promised. PAINTING OF SCHOOL.
A start has been made by the painters on the interior of the ( Grey town District High School.
