MOTORISED UNIT

ARRIVAL IN MASTERTON ON WEDNESDAY.

A party of 87 men and 14 officers, accommodated in 17 vehicles, the B Squadron of the 4th Mounted Rifles (Motorised), is due to arrive in Masterton from the south on Wednesday afternoon at 4.30 o’clock. The unit, which wil be met on the outskirts of the town by the Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, and Sergeant-Major C. E. Rogers, of the Masterton Defence Office, is due to arrive at 4.30 p.m. The visitors will proceed along Queen Street to King Street, and thence to the Drill Hall. A dance will be held in the Municipal Hall in the evening in honour of the party.
