Fowls' wheat maintains the old figures, 3e 9d to 3s lOd for whole samples; bran is somewhat easier, £4; pollard demand eqnal to supply at £4 los ; wheat meal, £lO 10s, Data—Prices vary according to quality, ; an active demand exists for local consumption, and short bright samples are worth 2s, while Danish and tarUnan descriptions are valued from la 9d to le lid ; some slight business has been doing in long and short seed varieties at 2i 3d and 2e 6d per bushel. Prime potatoes, £2 12s 6d : fair do, £2 6s to £2 7s fid ; seed descriptions, from £4 to £5 ; maize, new grain, 4» to 4s 3d ; rye grass, 3s fid ; cocksfoot, 3Jd ; fresh butter advanced to la ; salt do shows no prospect of alteration for the better, and farmers would do well to accept any reasonable offer, say od or over, for stocks ; eggs are wavering at Is Id, with prospect of fur her reduction of Id per doz. Turkeys, 7s ; ducks. 4- ; geese, 6s fid ; fowls, 2s 9d 1 1 3s per pair.”
