Education Board.
An ordinary meeting of the Education Board was held on Wednesday. Present —Messrs J R Blair (chairman), J Young, H Bunny, P H Fraser, W C Buchanan, Beetham, Rev J Paterson, and Dr Newman.
The Masterton Committee wrote complaining that the Drill Instructor had only been to the school twice since Christmas. The Chairman said that the explanation was that the Instructor’s time had been otherwise occupied. The Masterton Bite Committee reported that, in their opinion, the Sincox acre was the most suitable. Laid ou the table.
The Pupil Teachers’Examination Committee recommended that consideration of the question of instruction of pupil teachers be postponed till it is known what amount will be voted by the next Parliament for educational purposes, and that in the meantime the instruction of pupil teachers within the City of Weilington be given at the To Aro School Agreed to.
