Cleaner.
We are delighted to see that Mr Hogg’s Carterton ‘ Observer " is getting a little cleaner in its language, although still abusive and virulent. However, as it ip now making some feeble attempts at argument, and as we are always ready to buildabridg ) for a defeated and flying foe, we will i i our next issue take some notice of its praisworthy little essays at something dimly resembling common sense. If our little friend, instead of wasting bis time about childish personalities will only try to get a little comprehension of the points at issue he will be of some service to those who employ him and save himself many a heart ache At the same time when the ‘Observer’ “ reports” Mr Buchanan’s address to the Electors, the Electors have a right to expect that the ‘ Observer ’ reporter should have some slight knowledge of facts and English. The report in Tuesday’s ‘ Observer ’ is simply utter rubbish.
