At Hawkea Bay on Monday the Maiden Steeplechase was won by Uranus. Mangakeke won the I.a'Pca’ Biaoelet out of a field of ten and paying £l4 6a div. The Steeplechase Handicap of 500 Bovs was won by Maugaohaue 9at 12lb; tiwhaoko 10st 101b, 2 ; Borneo 10st, 3. Div. £7 4s. At the Hutt on Monday Maminga won the Hurdle Handicap, Surrey 2, The Jilt 3. The Lower Hutt Handicap was won by Strenuous, Smooth 2, Fabrication 3. Maiden Hack Race —Hibernian 1. Jubilee Handicap—Fabrication 1, Strenuous 2, Kangaroo 3. Div. £3l 19s.
