WAIRARAPA RUGBY UNION.

A mooting of the management committco was held at Carterton on Saturday last. Present—Messrs \V. G. King (in the chair), W. Perry, A. McKain, Mauihora, and the Secretary, Mr S. H. Wickerson. It was derided that a Senior Clmlleng'- Cup bo instituted by the Union to be competed for by the subscribing dubs. Thai the Senior and Junior Cup matches commence ou June 11th, and continue each successive Saturday until they are won. With respect to the Junior contests, it was decided that they be played in heats, and the club losing there match to drop out, except in the case of the first matches, when the team running a bye will be drawn to play one of the defeated teams, so as to bring four teams in the last round. In the Challenge Cup Kules, the cup is to he won two yearn in succession, or three years at intervals before becoming the absolute pro[>erty of the winning club. In the competitions for the Senior Cup, each chib shall play every other club once in the season, and the chib scoring the greatest number of victories shall bo tbo winner of the cup. In the event of a tie the matches to he played olf in heats, to he decided by lots. l)rawu matches to bo played until decided. That no player shall play for more than one club in any annual competition. The drawing for teams, time, and places for the contests, resulted as follows:

Sixion Cor. Carterton plays Master ton at Masterton, Juno 11th ; Groytowu plays Carterton at Carterton, June 18th ; Masterton plays Groytowu at Grcytown, June 26th. Junior Cur. To Ore Ore plays Carterton at Cartertou, June 11th ; lied Stars play Greytown at Creytown, June ISth, The Masterton team runs a bye, and will be drawn agaiust one of tho defeated teams,
