Wellington. George Thomas and Co report produce prices " There are no material alterations in prices or demand for any line. Flour, with an upward tendency, is quoted at LlO 10s for sacks ; fowls’ wheat of good quality, which is now somewhat bard to obtain, commands 3s 6d per bushel; screenings, from 3s to Ss 3d ; bran and pollard are in usual request for dairy purposes at L 4 and L 4 10s respectively ; oats are plentiful, and common samples are offering at low rates, say from Is 9d to la lid ; best feed and milling commands 2s to 2s 3d per bushel; oatmeal, LlO 6s to LlO 10s; oaten straw chaff, L 3 10s ; sheaves, L 4 10s ; feed barley, 2s 9d to 2s lOd ; maize, 4s 6d; beans, 2s 9d; peas, 8s Bd. Potatoes—The various descriptions, snob as Camara, Eaiapoi, Kaikonra, and Blenheim, command rates according to quality ; Oamarn samples are much liked, and rule at L2 15s ; Eaiapoi and Kaikoura at L2 12s fid ; and Blenheim’s, which are irregular, L2 7s fid to L2 10a per ton. Onions, L 7. There is no indication of a better demand existing for cheese, which is dull at IJd to 4|d for best factory made ; new cure bacon and bams, 7d ; farmers’ parcels 3d to 5d per lb; fresh batter, lOd -, salt do, fid -, eggs, slightly weaker, 2s 2d to 2s 6d pet doz. Fruit—The market was entirely clear until arrival yesterday of samples of apples from Hobart ; prices ruled on a par with last sales; cooking samples, 8s fid to 9s fid ; eating, 5s fid to 8s fid pet ease. Poultry—Fowls and turkeys, in consequence of the quantities coming to hand, are a complete drag ; prices rale from 2s 3d to 2s fid for fowls and 7s per pair for turkeys ; ducks and geese arc in request at 3s to 5s fid respectively.”
London, May 36. Australian tallow—Average quality beef 21s 6d, mutton 22s 6d. Australian hides—The demand is limited and prices ate Jd lower.
Adelaide, May 27. Wheat is firm at 4« pet bushel. Flour is steady ; country brands are selling at L 8 10s to L 8 15s, and town brands from L 9 15s to LlO per ton.
Sydney, May 27. Wheat is selling at from 3s 6d to 3s 9d ; oats, from Is 9d to 2s 3d per bushel; maize, 3s to 3s 2d per 661bs.
