The Greytown Society.
To the Editor of the Standard. Sib,— As possibly your local of Friday last in elating that the Oreytown Orchestral Bal d supplied the music at the opening of the assembly dances, would give the idea that out society were the performers. I wish to say that ouch was not the oaae. Ab a matter oi fact although individually most of onr memhers play dance mneio on occasions, ana several were at the danoe named, we do not do so as a society, our joint object being tne cultivation of better elees music. I M> l9a to make this correction in the fear that whenever. as in the present ease, two or three oi us lend a helping band in whatever may be going on, their performance may be considered as an appearance of the Oreytown Orchestral Society. I am, Ac.. B. W. Tat*. Hon. Sec. to Oreytown Orchestral Society. Oreytown, 6th May.
