The Chief Polling Place.

To the Editor of the Standard. Sis, —I see the Carterton paper is trying to get Carterton substituted for Featherston as the principal polling place at the next election. It would bo no improvement shifting it from one corner of the district to another corner. Now Greytown is the centre of South Wairarapa and easy of access from all parts, and this is proved by the leading medical men, solicitors, auctioneers, Ac., residing here, and the English and Wesleyan churches making Greytown their head quarters. I trust the Borough Council will at once see to this. If they want any assistance should a deputation be sent to the Government, I believe the Hon G. M. Waterhouse would aid them. He is a lover of fair play and has always been a friend to Greytown. It would not be fair to Mr Buchanan or anyone likely to be a candidate at the next election to be mixed up with it. I am, Ac., W.B.
