Election of School Committees.

The election o£ a School Committee took place at the Kaiwaiwaischoolhoujc on Monday evening. About seven householders were present. The report and balance sheet were read, also Mr Lee’s report of last examine tion, when a discussion took place on the report and the poor results of the teaching. TUo election of a new committee took place, and (ho following householders were eiccled a committee for the ensuing year:—Messrs \V O Williams, J Feist, C F Goodrich, T Smith, W Bock, Mason and Olsen. A meeting was held afterwards when Mr W 0 Williams was elected chairman, and Mr Goodrich treasurer. The meeting for the election of School Committee at Napier was probably the largest and rowdiest held in tuo colony. The schoolhouse was crowded to suffocation, am; large crowds were around the doors.
