George Tli'<mas & Co. report produce prices as follows;—“In dairy produce is, unfortunately, no satisfactory intelligence to note, and for salt butter there is not the slightest enquiry ; advices to hand from Sydney give particulars of recent r...0s throughout Australia, and, further, predicts low prices for fresh and salt butter for the season, in fact several leading merchants aver that it will be almost unnecessary to look outside for supplies ; we quote nominally, Gd for salt and 8d for fresh samples of best quality. Cheese is heavily overstocked, and prices rule at 4}d to 5Jd for parcels. Hams and bacon, pending arrival of the new cure, are dull ; the market has been perfectly flooded with various descriptions of farmers’ cure, which, to clear, has been moved oil’at 2d to 3d per !b ; factorv samples rule from GJd to 7d. There is no alteration in grain and breadstuff's. Derwent potatoes, 555; onions, £6 ; beans, 8s 9d ; peas, 3s 6s ; machinedreused ryegrass, 3s 9d to -Is per bushel ; cocksfoot do, 3}d to 4d per )b.
