London, February 22. The election to the Herman Reichstag commenced today. In Berlin two Socialise were elected, ant. at Hamburg and Brealau Socialist* were returned. Count von Mollke and Herr Bichter were elected. Future election* will, it is believed, result in a formidable increase in the Socialists’ strength. Lord Salisbury consider* it useless to proclaim the Laud League until the law is made more effective. The Irish Law Commission recommend the revision of rent* every five years, and larger advances being made to tenants. February 23. Arrived, at Plymouth, last evening—B.M.S. Aorangi, Her cargo of meat is In good condition. Serious riots have occurred today at Amsterdam between large bodies of Loyalists and Socialists, and many on both tides were severely wounded.
