BOROUGH OF GREYTOWN. DOG REGISTRATION. NOTICE is hereby given that all Dogs of a greater age than six months must be registered forthwith, in terms of the “Dog Registration Act Amendment Act, 1882.” The fee fixed by Council is five shillings for every dog excepting those used for solely rabbit or stock purposes, for which latter a fee of one shilling each must bo paid. Particular attention is directed to the above Acts. All dogs unregistered within fourteen days from date hereof will be destroyed or summary proceedings taken against the owners. By Order, D. NOTICE UNDER “THE LOCAL BODIES LOANS ACT, 1886.” IT is hereby notified that a meeting of the Ratepayers of the Martinboro’Pahaua Road Special Rating District, will be held at Mr John Tally’s house at the Table Lands, near Martinborough, on FRIDAY, the 11th day of February, 1887, at 2 p.m., to take into consideration the proposal to borrow from the Government, under the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886, and “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” the sum of £650 for the completion of the Martinborough to Pahaua Road. The Special Rate required to be levied is one-tenth of a penny in the £ to produce the annual instalments of five per cent, necessary to be paid to the Government for 26 years, and the Special Valuation List and Rate | Roll are now open for inspection at the | Council Chambers, Carterton. It is also notified that a Meeting of the Ratepayers of the Gladstone-Wai-nuiora Road Special Rating District, will be held at Mr Yennel’s house, Bank View, Wainuioru, on FRIDAY, the 11th day of February, 1887, at 2 p.m., to take into consideration the proposal to borrow in same manner as above stated, the sum of £6OO, for completion of the Gladstone-Wainuioru-Road. The Special Rate required to be levied is two-seventeenths of a penny in the £ to produce the annual instalments of five per centum, necessary to be paid to the Government for 26 years, and the Special Valnation List and Rate Roll are now open for inspection at the Council Chambers, Carterton. WAIEARAPA WEST COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE is hereby given that “ Bye Law No 2,” ordaining that between sunset and sunrise all Vehicles travelling on any public road within the Wairarapa West County, shall have a light affixed to them under a penalty not exceeding £6 ; and “By Law No 3,” regulating the management and conduct of Slaughterhouses, and prescribing an annual license fee of One Pound for each Slaughterhouse within the said County, will come into force on Ist JANUAEY, 1887. A copy of the said By Laws may be inspected during office hours, at the COUNCIL CHAMBEES, CAETERTON.
