The New Zi-lmd Loau and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following cablegram from their London office, dined 25th instant :-Wool The sales opened today at an average advance of 7f per cent on last sales’ closing rates. The attendance of both Home and foreign buyers is good, and competition is active. The opening catalogue container! 7500 bales, but was not a representative one. The sales comprise about 223,000 bales ; 45.000 bales have been sent to the manufacturing districts direct. The arrivals are not equal to trade requirements. Sallow—Good mutton is worth 28s per cwt j beef, 24s fid. The market has been bigbir since we last telegraphed, but has deoSned. Frozen MeatMarket dull. New Zeahmd mutton, weighing per carcass 601b to 651b. is worth 4fd per lb.
