Featherston Town Board.
To the Editor of the Standard. Sib, —Will you allow me to ask why our local Board, when they requite any work done, take the trouble to send for men so far as Masterlon ? Have we not as good workmen in this district as can be found further north- ? The Town Board are ready enough to collect our rates, but when a few shillings are to be laid out in road repairs they send the money away to be circulated where it is not earned. 1 am, tfec. Crib.
