Prayers for Rain.

To the Editor of the Standard. Sib,—We are having very dry weather, and it is beginning to be felt eanouely by everybody. Those who have to do with farming and gardening pnrsuite are at a standstill ; the whole of the country Is parched for want of moisture, and if this continnes we shall suffer a great deal. 1 would therefore like to ask through your columns if gome agreement could not bs come to among tbs churches to offer np prayers for rain. It is right that we should ask for these things, and answers to prayers are more convincing to infidels, which now everywhere abonnd. Collective prayer with faith would bring down the much needed blessing of rain. 1 am, Ac, CacacHMin.
