Wool Sales.
Uklboukmb, January 11. Messrs E’ Qoldsborongh and Co. (Limited) held their usual weekly sale this afternoon, when 8600 bales were offered, the sales log the week being 3000 bales. Greasy wool sold up to lOd per lb; secured to 17£ d, mod washed fleeoe to 14d. There was a strong demand and excellent competition was manifested. especially for light crossbreds, good merinos, and shafty scoured wools. Prices generally have advanced from id to Id per lb since last wool telegram. Imvcbosboiu., January 13.
The wool sales today want fairly wall. About 2500 balei oat oi 3000 war* cold. Light oonditiooed, medium, to Ana half-brad, sold at BJd to 9|d ; good atroog oroaabrad, 7sd to 8a ; inferior and heavy oroaabrad, 6id to 7sd; merino, inferior, heavy, 6Ji ; wall* grown, light, 6|d. Chbistchuich, January 13. The New Zealand Loan and MsroantUe Agenoy Company, Limited, held their fourth wool sale of the saaaon today. Two thousand five haodred bales were catalogued, of whiou one thousand five hundred were sold. The withdrawals consisted chiefly of merino clips and aooured wools. Prioae were rather better than at last series—9Jd for merino, Bfd for half-bred, and 8d for crossbreds were tue lop prices for greasy. Scoured merino made Is 4d, and qnarterebred, Is Sfd.
