Sib,—l have heard from a reliable authority that the School Committee have, in their collective wiidom, decided that no acbool priaee will be given tbia year any more than last year. If thie ia ao, does it not ehow something akin to meanneaa on the park of the public in general and the committee in particular, that thie ecboel ahonld be the only one in the Wellington Education District in which the pnpile do not receive priaee, except through the generosity of the teacher*.
